The Casanova Beauty & Wellness Centre, named after the legendary lover who once held clandestine trysts in the fragrant and colourful gardens of Hotel Cipriani, features fabulous treatment rooms and offers a host of massages and relaxing therapies.

One of the treatment rooms - created by architect Paolo Ruggeri - is dedicated to 'Sea Creation', which uses shells and fluid sourced from the deep sea. Guests can enjoy floating, energising treatments; cranial and Swedish massages and the restorative technique know as 'Scen Tao' - the famed toning and stress reducing massage which uses hot stones.

The Centre also offers treatments, such as the Jet-lag Eliminator and the Deep Tissue Massage. The Fitness Room, with its charming view of the flowered patios and gardens, features equipment by Technogym with integrated televison sets and the revolutionary Proellixe Vibration machine which enhances muscle firming and total well-being. Opening hours: 9am to 8pm daily.

Venice is sure to impress even the most reluctant of romantics with its craggy façade and watery vistas, it is a year-round stunner come rain or shine. Take a gondola down the complex network of canals or hop on a vaporetto (water taxi) at dusk and watch the sunset sink behind a water-logged city. Dine in one, or all, of Venice's fabulous bars and restaurants; tantalize your taste buds with flavours such as sea snails and spider crabs that only a city as unique as Venice could provide. Admire the mosaic-lined interiors of San Marco and marvel at the marble floors, domed ceilings and glass tiles depicting significant episodes in Italian history. Venture further afield to Murano Island, famed for its Murano glass, it was here the glass-blowers were banished centuries ago when they were deemed a fire hazard to the city. These days, tourists flood for the flamboyant glass-blowing and fantastic sculptures and colours. Finish the day with a large slab of wood-fired pizza or a beer beside the Grand Canal.

A team of professionals can help arrange every aspect of your special day including suggesting local churches for official weddings and blessings or you can utilise the expertise of the hotel's professional wedding co-ordinator should you wish to organise a civil ceremony. The Antique Garden, Casanova Gazebo and Granaries of the Venetian Republic are beautiful, romantic spaces to accommodate your wedding ceremony and celebrations.

Rooms and suites range from the simply elegant to those richly furnished with antiques and beautiful artworks. For an extra special experience, the Dogaressa Suite and the Vendramin Suite at Palazzo Vendramin and the three spectacular Guinness Suites should be considered. The Palladio Suite is one of the best loved accommodations for memorable weddings in Venice. Complimentary transfers on arrival and departure are also included in the room rate.
