Luxury Ski Holidays

Val d'Isère is a resort that all strong skiers aspire to visit and is best suited to intermediates and advanced skiers. Together with neighbouring Tignes, Val d'Isère forms the gateway to a wealth of demanding red and black pistes and some of the best and easily lift-accessed off-piste to be found anywhere in the Alps. However, Hotel Christiania is a great option for beginners who can access the nursery slopes which are just a short walk away from the hotel. 

Snow reliability is high and the season lasts until the first weekend of May. There are plenty of ski schools and all cater for skiing and non-skiing children aged three and over. Billabong Snowboard School, meanwhile, instructs young snowboarders aged seven years and over. Other activities include dog-sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, quad-bikes, all-terrain karts, paragliding and microlight trips. Val d'Isère's fun-loving crowd will find the après-ski here to be as lively as the skiing, with entertainment ranging from bustling bars to discos.
