Situated along the banks of the Mara River, Governors' Il Moran Camp is perfectly placed for you to witness the annual wildebeest migration across the river between July and September. Situated in south-western Kenya, the camp's surrounded by Masai Mara Game Reserve which, along with the migration, is famed for its elephants, zebras, lions and gazelles, and with three daily game-drives and safari tracking with a Masai scout, guests are literally spoilt with wildlife encounters. No two game-drives are ever the same: as you drive across the savannah plains in a fleet of Land Rovers, you're likely to spot cheetahs, giraffes, baboons and buffalo - even the sky is a kaleidoscope of flight activity, with a thousand birds soaring through the air. It has to be said, Masai Mara is frequented by a huge quantity of visitors, making some sightings somewhat populated but, as off-roading is permitted and the Guides at Governors' Il Moran Camp are exceedingly talented, game-viewing remains stellar.

For an additional charge, you can enjoy a balloon safari across the Masai Mara Game Reserve, followed by a Champagne breakfast and a game-drive on return to camp.

Located on the Mara River, Masai Mara. International flight to Nairobi Airport, light aircraft transfer to Musiara Airstrip followed by a short car transfer to camp. NB: Visas are required for Kenya.
