Eze is a picturesque medieval village positioned between Nice and Monaco. The remainder of its 12th century castle is still visible at the top of the hill on which it was built and the village itself lies around the bottom. Set high up on a cliff top looking out towards Cap Ferrat and Italy, it offers some of the most beautiful views over the Mediterranean Sea. Its narrow streets wind through the landscape and are lined with pretty little houses which have been lovingly restored and are now mostly home to galleries, craft boutiques, souvenir shops and restaurants.You will also find that its character is further enhanced by the terraced café, quaint churches and lovely shaded squares where you can rest a moment and take in the view of the valley as you take a leisurely climb up the hillside.
