At its heart is the charming Lodge. Each of the beautiful suites and cottages has been furnished and decorated to exacting standards; original art hangs on the walls, muted tones are enlivened by bold-coloured fabrics, while the slate-tiled bathrooms boast crackling fireplaces. Guests can request a helicopter excursion with an extensive tour over the mountains, game reserves and Blyde's River Canyon. In fact, transfers can be arranged from the private helipad to any number of surrounding scenic areas, complete with picnic lunch on a mountaintop. Other activities such as mountain-biking, forest walks, bird-watching and fishing are also available.

Luxury Spa Holidays

The Forest Health Spa offers a wide range of treatments and therapies designed to rejuvenate the body and restore the soul, using the luxury Clarins brand and a Moyo range of spa products. At the heart of the spa is a Zen garden, while facilities include several massage and beauty therapy rooms (including a double treatment room), two hydrotherapy baths (one hewn from natural granite and situated in its own private courtyard), a steam room, spacious showers with multiple high-pressure jets, a rasul chamber and  the 'Boma in the Forest' which serves delicious alfresco spa dinners.

For a truly unique experience, try the hydrotherapy chocolate bath, full to the brim with swirling chocolate bubbles and a side serving of delicious treats. Surrounded by burning candles, this is forty-five minutes of sweet heavenly bliss.
