Leisure Facilities
Peter Island is the fifth largest island in the British Virgin Islands and is therefore saturated in beautiful, pearly-white coastline. From the resort itself, five stunning beaches can be accessed, the main beach being Deadman’s Bay. Due to the island’s exclusivity, it’s not uncommon to have vast stretches of sand to oneself and guests can request to be dropped off at a neighbouring beach with a packed picnic. With no crowds, no noise and no ship-loads of cruise-goers flooding the island, this is exotic, barefoot luxury at its most authentic.
Although this is not an adults-only resort, children under eight years of age are strongly discouraged in the main resort. However, the villas provide plenty of space and secluded surroundings for family groups.
Guests can take a twenty minute boat ride to over thirty impressive dive sites. The resort’s onsite diving and water sport professionals are experienced and enthusiastic and will delight in taking you to some of the area’s copious diving spots – including Carrot Shoal with its famous Black Tip Reef, as well as Shark Point, Truck Reef and an awesome underwater bar. This is the terrain of the world’s most prolific pirates, so who knows what you will find in the depths of the ocean?
Peter Island offers the exclusivity and services of a five-star resort within a private villa. The resort has devised its own ‘Villa Program’ which ensures your every request is fulfilled; from food, beverage and entertainment needs, to preferred wines, pillow types and DVD collections. To oversee these arrangements, each villa is assigned a Villa Manager and additional staff can be arranged on request, subject to a surcharge. Furthermore, villa guests are granted full access to all of the main resort’s facilities, restaurants, spa and water sports.
Staff at Crow's Nest includes a Villa Manager, Butler, Chef, maid, grounds-man, private vehicle and chauffeur service.
The spa is positioned on Big Reef Bay and provides 10,000ft² of harmonious space in the most idyllic island location. Offering organic and predominately Ayurvedic-based treatments, this superior cliff-edge sanctuary boasts a meditation pool, relaxation lounges, pergolas and a hot tub, as well as specialised doctors on-hand to rejuvenate and revitalise. Beauty treatments such as manicures and pedicures (conducted while you relax in luxurious heated seats) are also available, as are private yoga lessons, solitary sunbathing spots and brisk walks.
