Could Rosewood Jumby Bay Be The Best Resort In Antigua For Families?

There are direct flights from London Gatwick to Antigua, with both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, that will get you there in just over eight and a half hours. Then, after a short transfer by private car and boat, you’ll arrive at the superb three-hundred-acre private island resort, Jumby Bay, A Rosewood Resort.

Families will love the gently shelving beaches, the swimming pools and the Rose Buds® programme that ensures all young guests receive the very best of treatment, from special services to convenience items, to make their stay even better. A number of items, including cots, a portable cot, en-suite wireless baby monitors and in-room baby proofing, can be requested at the time of booking, and once in resort, a Nanny service can be arranged (at an additional cost).

Families will also love the convenience of children's menus offered at all restaurants and for in-room dining; what’s more, the resort is all-inclusive, so meals and drinks are taken care of. There are many activities to enjoy all together including complimentary water sports such as kayaking, Hawksbill Turtle hatching expeditions (June to November) and bike rides.

For 3 to 12-year-olds Rose Buds™ Camp Jumby, which is divided into three different pavilions, provides indoor and outdoor activity sessions. These include Little Chefs, Ocean Adventures, Discover Science, Pirates of the Caribbean, Day at the Beach and much more. There are also regular Kids' Night Out activities. Children over 10 years old are offered additional ‘Teen and Youth activities’ including paddle-board lessons, water-skiing, tennis clinics, Wildlife Discovery, Night Explorations, fitness training at SENSE®, A Rosewood Spa and seasonal Sea Turtle Walks with the resort's Turtle Team. Those aged 4 to 16 years old can experience a number of specially designed spa treatments too, including manicures, pedicures, facials and hair-braiding.

For a day out away from the resort, Stingray City over on the mainland of Antigua, is a superb family-friendly attraction where it is possible to touch and feed the rays.
