This over-water, blissful spa retreat has nine therapy pavilions where you can enjoy holistic therapies including 'Thalgo' treatments, as well as diet, exercise and lifestyle activities. Five pavilions feature a steam room, sauna and jet bath. The complex also includes 21 Spa Water Villas, a beauty salon and a restaurant.
The Over-Water Spa - Rangali Island
This romantic spa set over a coral reef offers pampering and relaxing 'Valmont' therapies in unique glass-floored treatment rooms.
The South Ari Atoll comprises of sand and coral banks including both hard and soft coral, reefs and shallow lagoons all accessible from Conrad Maldive's SubAqua PADI Dive Centre located right on the ocean's fringe with their dhonis (dive boats) literally thirty steps away. A wealth of diving attractions can be found within the first five minutes and up to an hour and a half sailing time, offering over forty different diving sites including Maayafushi Tila, Fish Head and Manta Point (ideal time to spot Mantas being December - April). With the Indian Ocean settling at a year-round 28°C temperature and once a week full-day whale shark excursions, the SubAqua Centre offers a mass of diving appeal.
Majaa, the children’s activity centre, has an outdoor play area featuring a fish shaped Splash Zone with water jets and offers activities specifically tailored to different groups between the ages of 3 to 12 years old. These include pirate themed activities, science experiments, games such as throwing water balloons in a Beach Bash, Glow-in-the-Dark-Parties and Circus Night. The Ice Cream Spa allows busy children to unwind with treatments such as the Super Sundae Supreme Body Scrub, as well as offering fun fake tattoos.
Conrad Maldives plays proud host to the world's first underwater restaurant. Ithaa Undersea Restaurant showcasing a transparent tunnel constructed entirely out of acrylic, five metres under the sea. Located at the end of the jetty, beneath a thatched pavilion a spiral staircase descends in to the underworld while the minimal décor allows for undisturbed, superb viewing of the passing sea life - with 180° views, the space is moulded into a cave-like enclosure with a curved roof and sides. Seating a maximum of fourteen guests, over seven tables at any one sitting, reservations are essential and guests must bear in mind children over 12 years of age will only be permitted at lunchtime, under the manager's discretion. Dine on a magnificent set menu featuring elaborate yet delicious seafood dishes, such as the Rainbow Runner Fish which may also be seen swimming overhead. A celebrated combination of western-fusion fare, dinner is exquisite while a fly-by 'Champagne and Canapé' visit is equally as enchanting. An experience not to be missed.
