Indulge in the ultimate ski-lodge fantasy by staying at Chalet Le Rocher. Affording sweeping views of the Val d'Isere valley and standing atop a long and private road, Le Rocher boasts heated steps, an indoor swimming pool and Laurent Perrier Champagne every night of the week. Inside, you’ll instantly be in awe, standing beneath huge vaulted ceilings and glass chandeliers, while an inviting fireplace crackles in the background. If you’re looking for alternative keep-fit activities other than skiing, head for the in-house gymnasium, complete with Kinesis wall and solarium, or spend a few hours in the steam room and outdoor hot-tub. And of course there are plenty of services to hand, from the Chef who will prepare sumptuous a la carte breakfasts, afternoon tea and five-course dinners (six days out of seven), to a fully stocked bar with complimentary spirits, beers, mixers and soft drinks. There's a Chalet Manager to oversee your entire stay and childcare is available on request -  whereas the little extras, such as newspapers, driver service, broadband, towel changes and daily morning tea, all come as standard.

Accommodation

Chalet Le Rocher covers four floors which can all be reached via the lift.

Ground Floor: Descend to the ground floor for dips in the pool and a few stolen minutes in the hammam which is delightfully disguised as a tiny chalet. There's also a cloakroom, garage and ski room boasting heated boot racks.

First Floor: The gym has a Kinesis wall and a solarium where you can maintain a healthy post-ski glow. Complete your gym session with a quick interlude in the massage room before returning to one of five en suite bedrooms also found on this level.

Second Floor: Abscond outdoors onto the spacious terrace and outdoor hot tub before returning indoors to use the much-deserved bar facilities. A grand fourteen-seater dining table sits within the enormous open-plan living/dining space and offers guests comfortable throne-style chairs covered in luxe black velvet. In fact, this entire space is an eclectic jumble of wonderful furnishings, such as big wooden beams, glass chandeliers, cow print sofas and tartan curtains, as well as book cases, sculptures and antelope.

Third Floor: Featuring two main bedrooms with en suite facilities and additional dressing rooms. All rooms are decorated with intricately carved furniture and age-worn wood.

Dining

A personal Chef is on-hand to serve a full a la carte breakfast every morning and afternoon tea every afternoon. A gourmet dinner menu is offered six nights out of seven, with nibbles served on the Chef's night off. Champagne and spirits are complimentary.

Leisure Facilities

Luxury Ski Holidays

Val D’Isere, when combined with Tignes, makes up The Espace Killy which boasts ski runs to suit all styles and standards. Often considered the ski resort for confident skiers, this is not entirely accurate and there are still 16 pleasant green slopes for beginners. However, it’s better to err on the side of caution, as the majority of Val D’Isere’s runs have been graded lower than their actual level; i.e. red runs feel more like black, blue like red and so forth. For snowboarders there’s a comprehensive snow park in the Bellvarde La Daille and for post-ski fun, there’s ‘Fun on the Snow’, held every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 5pm at the foot of the slopes which features snow football, curling and snow body-boarding, amongst other activities. The Après Ski scene is as hardcore as the skiing, with a magnitude of bars, restaurants and clubs. Dick’s Tea Bar is the resort’s most famous; open since 1979, the vodka flows until 4am but you can still stop off for a nice cup of tea during daytime hours.

Luxury Hotel Experiences

A stay at the super-swish Chalet Le Rocher could definitely be considered a lifetime experience; equipped with high-end entertainment facilities such as PlayStation 3s, flat screen televisions, Satellite TV and even a cinema projector beside the swimming pool, it's most certainly an extraordinary chalet experience.

Luxury Family Holidays

Pre-book a private nanny service and children can be taken to and from their ski lessons and kept entertained with a varied and imaginative activity programme. Healthy home made lunches and snacks are provided and babysitting is available on request. A wide range of equipment for babies and toddlers can also be provided.
