Award-winning Celebrity Cruises promises that you'll be recognised, celebrated and indulged every time you sail with them. Prepare yourself for comfortable sophistication at its best - where no request is too great and no detail too small. Let Celebrity Cruises take care of the details while you relax and enjoy every precious moment.

In 2008 Celebrity Solstice was launched, the cruise line's largest ship to date, weighing in at 122,000 tons and with a capacity of 2852. It was the first of four identical Solstice-class ships, the others being Celebrity Equinox, launched in 2009, and Celebrity Eclipse and Celebrity Silhouette launched in 2010.

Two funnels, set one behind the other, distinguish these new ships from previous (single-funnel) Celebrity ships, and the distinctive “X” now shows on both sides of the ship as part of a design that highlights the cruise line’s Greek origins. Each vessel is thoughtfully designed with elegant yet contemporary décor and plenty of open spaces. The vessels are also extremely easy to navigate with everything arranged in clusters - all the entertainment is forward for example, whilst the food is aft and the speciality restaurants all clustered on one single deck.

The Lawn Club is a particularly intriguing feature, boasting a real, spotlessly manicured lawn on the highest deck where you can practice putting or partake in an afternoon bocce tournament. And all four ships cater particularly well for families, with a range of superb children’s activities and facilities.

The latest technology has been integrated into all the staterooms, each one providing  a flat screen television and wireless internet access as standard, whilst spa enthusiasts will feel completely at home in the AquaClass cabins with their own personal spa concierge to arrange exclusive treatments.

Each Solstice-class ship features ten varied restaurants, ranging from the majestic, split-level main dining room to four exquisite speciality restaurants and several casual venues.

Inspired by the grandeur of Hollywood, the main dining room offers classic continental cuisine, whilst Blu - the speciality restaurant serving the AquaClass guests - features a wide choice of fresh and healthy dishes.

Enjoy the speciality coffees and freshly baked pastries at Café al Bacio’s, or head for the Gelateria offering a variety of Italian ices and gelatos.

Enjoy a drink with friends in the wine bar, with a sommelier on hand to advise and inform, or a pre-dinner cocktail in the signature Martini Bar, which boasts more than 100 varieties of vodka as well as martinis, and an ice-filled table where you can participate in caviar and vodka tasting. Plus of course you can enjoy 24-hour room service, catering to your every need.

Health and Fitness

The indulgent AquaSpa by Elemis offers a range of soothing treatments together with aromatherapy and steam rooms and a full-service beauty salon. The Lawn Club, located on Solstice’s highest deck, allows you to enjoy a variety of casual outdoor activities such as putting, croquet or boules on its freshly manicured lawn. Several pool and water-play areas are positioned on the resort deck, plus a further pool in the solarium (with glass roof), a sports pool, a family pool and a wet zone.

Relaxation & Education

If there’s a particular skill you've always wanted to learn or improve upon, there are a whole range of classes and lectures on board each ship, from makeover seminars to art and cookery to foreign language lessons. Participate in art auctions or watch whilst all the action takes place, or send messages back home from the comfort of the Internet Café.  And marvel at the unique ‘Hot Glass Show’ with professional glassblowers creating gorgeous pieces of art in an interactive setting.

You could also head for the library with an extensive range of all the latest popular and classical books and cd’s, or enjoy a host of quizzes and games including chess, bridge and backgammon, with both lessons and prizes.

Enjoy intimate performances on a grand scale in a state-of-the-art theatre with three leading-edge shows custom-designed for Celebrity Cruises, including Broadway style shows, musical arrangements and comedy acts. Test your luck at the elegant Fortunes Casino, with over 200 slot machines and 16 gaming tables. Or take to the dance floor at Quasar, a contemporary nightclub with a retro flair, with  large screens that create a nightly light show synchronized to music and an observation lounge with a dancefloor.

The Celebrity ‘X-Club’ will keep younger guests entertained with a five-tiered programme including Toddler Time (under 3 years old) Ship Mates (ages 3-6) Celebrity Cadets (ages 7-9) and Admiral Ts (ages 13-17). Parents can even join their children for X-Club family events like Karaoke, family discos and bingo.

Whether your passion is history, the arts, fine food and wine, wildlife or simply immersing yourself in the local culture, Celebrity will have the perfect excursion for you. Experience an invigorating mush across a snow-covered glacier behind an Alaskan dogsled, or take a relaxing stroll through the history-filled streets of Rome. Many itineraries also offer overnight stays in port so you can enjoy even more time exploring ashore. Excursions can be purchased on-line up to four days before you sail, or of course you could organise your own, private shore visits.
