Located on the edge of the lesser-known Pench National Park, adjacent to a stream and amongst lush forest, the intimate Baghvan Pench Jungle Lodge gains its inspiration from the iconic Bengal Tiger (Baghvan means 'tiger forest'). The contemporary lodge boasts just twelve guest bungalows, meaning that there are only a maximum of twenty-four guests at the property at one time, plus a swimming pool, lounge area, open-kitchen, safari shop and a library. The park, meanwhile, comprises teak jungle, streams and hilly terrain and is home to a range of animals (some predators) and over three-hundred bird species, including tigers, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, wild boars, parakeets, eagles, kingfishers, hornbills and fruit bats. While here, guests are able to participate in twice-daily jungle safaris, guided nature walks, bird-watching, excursions to local villages and elephant-back safaris (subject to availability).
