The Arlberg region attracts discerning skiers who want first-class skiing combined with the atmosphere of an unspoilt Austrian village. St Anton and St Christoph are perfect examples. Both benefit from a long ski season and an excellent snow record whilst St Christoph, which shares St Anton's ski area, is a tiny hamlet higher up the Arlberg Pass, enjoying a wonderfully tranquil location. Strong intermediates, advanced skiers or boarders and off-piste enthusiasts will delight in the challenges here - this is not an ideal choice for beginners. The Arlberg Ski School, founded in 1921, rightly lays claim to have invented the modern ski technique and St Christoph is home to the Bundes Ski Academy, the main Austrian training centre for instructors, which now incorporates the St Anton Ski School. For families, there's a non-ski kindergarten and children's ski school. Village life in St Anton centres on the pedestrianised main street that is lined with a pleasant combination of handsome old hotels, shops, restaurants and cafés, offering lively après-ski opportunities. Other activities in the area include ice-skating, curling, floodlit tobogganing, parapente, ski-touring and sleigh rides.

Luxury Family Holidays

There is an additional cost for extra beds for children aged 3 - 16 years of age, but this is inclusive of professional child care in the hotel's kindergarten (from 9am - 9pm)  and allows any child who wishes to attend ski school, snowboard school or tobogganing to do so right opposite the hotel. There are a number of family apartments and suites and babysitting is available on request
