Tracing a ten-hour route from Puno to Cuzco, and vice versa, The Andean Explorer weaves its way through canyons, mountainous highland and dilapidated townships flooded with Peruvian children chasing the train’s tail. There is something almost post-apocalyptic about the deserted, barren terrain gracing the tracks of the Andean Explorer.
