Leisure Facilities
Heaven for children of all ages, the British-managed Childcare Club (OurSpace) is a fantastic opportunity for children to make great friends and learn new skills during fun-filled days that are both exciting and educational. Jam-packed holidays include tennis, trips to Ile Aux Cerfs, papier mache modelling and pool games. Water sports facilities and activities, such as kayaking, glass-bottom boats, peddle boats, windsurfing and banana boats, are perfect for water-loving kids, all the while keeping children active, healthy and safe. Activities are created to suit a variety of ages and interests, so if trips to the Giant Tortoise and Crocodile Park aren't suitable, then the computer room certainly will be.
OurSpace is predominately for 8-month to 13-year-olds and is professionally managed by highly qualified British nannies. Babies are kept safe and entertained by an outdoor padded area and sleep room, whereas the shaded pool and sandpit are suitable for slightly older kids. Activities are designed for specific age groups so that the youngest can enjoy ‘splish splashing’ in the pool, making handprint fish and doing puzzles, while older children can look forward to making a tropical turtle, face-painting, Sega dancing and kayaking in the lagoon waters. Most importantly, the vicinity has been built to carefully considered specifications that take holiday childcare to new heights - with safety foremost, followed closely by fun.
The Ernie Els-designed championship golf course is co-shared and managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, but is owned by Anahita The Resort. It really is a truly exceptional golf course, with over 7,850 yards of terrain and an 18-hole course that is long and challenging; ideal for intermediate and experienced golfers.
For those a little less confident, there is a grassy practice range and complimentary golfing instructions on the driving range, plus lemonade and cookies for the kids and introductory courses available, starting with one-hour golf lessons. There is a complimentary golf buggy for all Anahita guests and super ocean views to be admired en route. Holes sixteen, seventeen and eighteen are particularly stunning and will, no doubt, lessen the pain if you're losing.
Mauritius is, without doubt, a first-class diving destination and an experience that shouldn't be missed. Anahita The Resort boasts a Diving Centre open seven days a week, with a range of courses to suit every visiting guest.
PADI courses start with the Kids Seal Team certificate and work their way up to Dive Master-level, while CMAS courses cover everything from Introduction Dive to Three-star-level courses. Professional and highly qualified staff will ensure those new to diving feel safe and prepared while simultaneously putting the most confident of divers through their paces.
Abundant fishlife and rich coral make for superb diving trips, and the boats visit a varied selection of diving highlights, such as wrecks, drop-off dives, reefs and shark areas. Top this with a maximum of ten people per trip and you are guaranteed the dive of your life.
L'Etoile, part of the Anahita development, is where guests can enjoy quad-biking, horse-riding, mountain-biking, hiking and the possibility of seeing deer in their natural habitat.
There is a Wellness Centre in the village which provides spa treatments including body wraps, scrubs and massages, that can also be enjoyed in custom-built open-air champas on the beach, as well as manicures, pedicures and facials. Alternatively, massages may be carried out in the privacy of your suite or villa.
