Amangalla is a restored historic hotel which forms part of the Galle Fort. The 17th century Dutch fort is a collection of colonial buildings covering thirty-six hectares and has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status. It is the perfect place to explore Galle, which is the capital of Sri Lanka’s southern province. Rooms, chambers and suites are testimonies to Amangalla’s past and boast many original features as well as fine antiques and four-poster beds. All offer a variety of views from Galle Fort and some have their own balcony. In addition, the two-storey Garden House, situated in the hotel’s frangipani scented gardens, comes with a private pantry serviced by a personal butler.

Transfer time from Colombo Airport - 4 hours daytime; 2 hours, 30 minutes night time or 45 minutes helicopter to Galle.
